Atla Tadde

This is a traditional festival celebrated primarily by Telugu women for the well-being and long life of their husbands or to find a suitable life partner. It falls on the third day after the full moon in the month of Ashwayuja. Rituals include waking up before sunrise to eat Chaddi Annam (curd rice from the previous night), swinging on decorated swings, and applying Mehendi (Gorintaku). In the evening, women break their fast by offering 10 small "Atlu" (mini dosas) to Goddess Gauri.
